This abstract textile (fiber) art piece is dedicated to Katherine Swynford, who was the mistress and, later, wife of John of Gaunt. I became fascinated by her extraordinary life, after reading Katherine, the novel by Anya Seton. Their great grandson was Henry VII, who started the Tudor dynasty.
